Rex Omar hails Ghana Police as best in Africa

Highlife legend Rex Omar has lauded the Ghana Police Service, declaring it as the best law enforcement agency in Africa.

His statement came during a meeting between police officials and members of the creative arts industry held at the Police headquarters on Tuesday.

Rex Omar, known for his musical prowess, commended the Ghana Police Service based on his extensive experiences with law enforcement agencies across the country and throughout the African continent. He emphasized that Ghana’s police service is unparalleled in Africa.

“I have traveled across Africa, but when I compare the Ghana Police Service to the rest of the continent, I can confidently say that our police are the best,” Rex Omar stated during the meeting.

He acknowledged the positive changes and improvements within the Ghana Police Service, particularly in the areas of professionalism and efficiency. However, he also urged the police to continue their efforts to ensure the safety and security of the nation, especially concerning the upcoming developments in the political sphere.

Bessa Simons, the newly elected president of the Musicians Union of Ghana, joined in the praise for the Ghana Police. He commended the police for their sharp appearance and uniform, noting the positive transformation in their image in recent times.

Abeiku Santana, a well-known broadcaster, highlighted the exceptional leadership of the current Inspector General of Police (IGP).

He praised the IGP for elevating the standards of leadership to such a high level, making it a challenging benchmark for future leaders in the Ghana Police Service.

The creative arts industry has recognized the positive changes in the Ghana Police Service and expressed its support and appreciation during the meeting.
