The overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II, has called on delegates of the ruling NPP to support the candidature of Alan Kyerematen who is aspiring to be a flagbearer of the party.
The Chief also urged the former Minister for Trades and Industry to work hard to secure the leadership of the party and go on to win the 2024 presidential elections.
“It’s your turn,” the Yaa Naa told Mr Kyerematen, during a courtesy call on him at the Gbewa Palace in Yendi on Monday.
The former Minister for Trade and Industry is visiting the Northern region as part of his engagement tour with NPP executives and faithfuls to share his vision for seeking to be the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 presidential elections.
Party Endorsement
Mr. Kyerematen who is currently on the tour of the northern region has received an overwhelming endorsement from the Polling Station Executives of the NPP.
He has been touring various regions since he resigned from the government to pursue his presidential ambition.
The party faithfuls who spoke to a journalist Mohammed Awal were polling station executives from various constituencies who vowed to give Alan a massive endorsement when the time is due.
On his tour, he also visited the Chief of Tamale to announce his visit to the city and met party faithfuls and executives as well.
The New Patriotic Party is preparing to open nominations for the flagbearership contest and many are lacing their boots to contest.
