The Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey, a youth-led group advocating against illegal mining activities, has clarified its stance on political affiliations.
The group’s convener, Brownson Adatsi in an interview on Eyewitness News on Citi FM on Thursday emphasised that their movement is driven solely by the desire to see a better Ghana, free from the detrimental effects of galamsey.
“We are a concerned youth. We came together to pull up this. The only interest we have is to wake up to a country where we can always defend our country against any form of government.
“The only interest we have is to see a better Ghana,” Adatsi stated.
He further stressed that the group is not aligned with any political party or individual.
“We do not have affiliation to any political party or any political persons or partisan persons. We are not aligned, and we are not in alliance with any political party,” he added.
