Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, has resigned following reports of stolen $1M from her Abelemkpe resident.
In a letter signed by the minister, on July 22, 2023, Mrs. Dapaah writes to willingly leave office as Sanitation minister.

According to the charge sheet, The culprits, Patience Botwe, 18, and Sarah Agyei, 30 had stolen the monies between July and October 2022, both culprits have since been granted bail to reappear in court on Wednesday, August 2.
