NPP Youth wing shakes Ashanti Region with Youth campaign

The Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has ignited the party’s fervour in the Ashanti Region through a dynamic and engaging tour led by the National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha, from Wednesday, April 17 to Saturday, April 20.

Accompanied by youth organizers from both constituency and regional levels of the party, as well as other youth leaders, Salam Mustapha spearheaded a series of consultative and rejuvenating engagements. The tour included media appearances aimed at articulating reasons why the Ashanti Region should throw its support behind Dr. Bawumia in approximately 13 constituencies.

In each constituency visited, the team engaged with targeted youth groups to galvanise support for the party’s 2024 campaign. Emphasis was placed not only on securing votes but also on active participation in campaign activities. The endorsement of the party’s parliamentary candidates across all constituencies in the region was also advocated for.

Constituencies visited during the tour included Bosome Freho, Juaben, Agona, Ejura, Kwabre East, Ejisu, Old Tafo, Manhyia South, Manhyia North, Oforikrom, and Bantama, with mini rallies held in some locales.

Salam Mustapha underscored the importance of making informed choices in the upcoming 2024 polls. During media engagements, he highlighted the comparative records of the main candidates, describing Dr. Bawumia as a visionary and attentive leader compared to John Mahama.

Asserting Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy as the best choice, Salam Mustapha cited traits such as vision and responsiveness as evidence. He also urged the region to support Dr. Bawumia, emphasizing his perceived integrity by contrasting allegations of corruption against John Mahama.

In addition to political advocacy, Salam Mustapha and his team took the opportunity to educate first-time voters in the Ashanti Region on how to actively participate in the limited voter registration exercise scheduled from May 7 to May 27.

The tour served as a platform for educating youth groups on effective voter canvassing techniques, with a pledge to replicate similar initiatives in other regions.
