ANIKULAPO is a Netflix original film and Television series. According to the  Nigerian Filmmaker, “Because Ghana is partly Nigeria and Nigeria is partly Ghana…There are things in Nigeria that are not great but we have in Ghana, there are also things in Ghana that are not in Nigeria… It’s the same thing..let’s break the border issues and just open up and do things together”

He suggested that both nations could benefit greatly from deep collaboration and exploring each other’s markets and strengths.

Kunle Afolayan thanked the National Film Authority[NFA] for allowing him and his crew to come and shoot the movie in Ghana.

The shooting of the movie which began on Tuesday, September 17 is in support of the National Film Authority’s, “Shoot in Ghana” campaign.

The shoot in Ghana campaign was launched two years ago and has seen many ground-breaking successes, including the much-talked-about Super Bowl advert which was shot in the country (Ghana), and many more that haven’t been announced yet.
