I thought Akufo-Addo would take Ghana beyond Nkrumah’s level – KOD

Popular Ghanaian broadcaster and fashion icon, Kofi Okyere Darko, popularly known as KOD, has expressed his disappointment in the current administration led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He said he had hoped that the Akufo-Addo’s administration would surpass the achievements of Nkrumah, who is revered for his visionary leadership and significant contributions to Ghana’s socio-economic development.

KOD believes that the current state of the nation does not reflect the progress he had anticipated.

Speaking in an interview with Bernard Avle on the Point of View on Channel One TV, he also indicated that he supported President Akufo-Addo in 2008.

“I had an opportunity to listen to him speak to some of us as creatives and what he had planned for the creative sector of this country the orange economy. I thought he wouldn’t do bad at all…Yes, I supported him,” he stated.

Further adding “…In my opinion strong conviction, I thought if there was anyone who was supposed to take this country to the next level beyond Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah it was probably going to be Nana Akufo-Addo.”
